Helen Heavey and Michelle Cordrey co-ordinate the update of care plans for children with medical conditions that are deemed ‘potential emergencies’, they ensure that the necessary updates to pupil records are complete: The following procedures are carried out to ensure that we have accurate medical and dietary information and that it is shared with the appropriate members of staff:
– Termly update sent to parents and carers
– Termly update sent to the teachers
– Annual report compiled for class handover meetings
You can access medical and dietary information about your class through SIMs eReg, by clicking Reports, Run Reort, Focus, Student, ‘Medical Conditions by Class’ – select your class.
Medical and dietary reports are sent to:
– Class Teachers
– Club Xtra Manager
– Breakfast Club Manager
– Club Leaders
Before departing on a trip, please make sure that you print out the medical and dietary requirements for your class from SIMs and attach it with your risk assessment.
