Dear Parents/carers,
I’m very excited because Rocksteady are about to start working at Kelvin Grove with Y1-Y6 pupils!
They are a fantastic organisation who put children into rock bands on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals (maximum of 9 children per band).
Each band then rehearse to ultimately perform a live gig at the end of every term to friends and family. Rehearsals will take place during the school day and cost just over £30 a month to join (on a rolling monthly contract).
Because Supersonics and peripatetic music lessons will not be starting until September 2021, this is a great opportunity for KG children to engage in high quality instrument tuition and performance. All instruments and equipment are provided by Rocksteady as part of their club fees.

Rocksteady will be visiting Kelvin Grove on Thursday 25th March to give a special workshop to each school bubble. During the session the children will get to hear as well as try the instruments on offer.
After the workshop, children will be given information to take home to parents/carers detailing how to enrol in the Rocksteady club (this will not be available on SIMS Pay).
Club lessons (during the school day) will commence after the Easter holidays.
