Dear Parents/carers

To launch our new topic, we will be having a special session provided for us in school by ‘Mr History’.

During the workshop, the children will have an opportunity to learn from a specialist who has an incredible depth of historical knowledge and truly brings learning to life. They will even be able to handle historical objects and artefacts from different time periods. Everything that the children learn from this experience will deepen their knowledge and understanding of our cross-curricular topic throughout the term.

In-line with the school’s COVID policy, a number of precautions will be put in place, including:

• Mr History to sanitise all objects prior to arrival
• Children to be provided with gloves when handling items
• Children to move in a circuit when looking at the artefacts.
