Dear parents and carers

To support our topic ‘From City to Seaside’, Year 1 will be walking through Forest Hill to observe and discover characteristics and features of towns and cities so they can create a guide book to Forest Hill.

We will be walking to Horniman Museum Gardens and looking at the skyline. We will then return to school via Forest Hill Train station and past the swimming pool.

Each class will go on a different day, please see below:

Amber Class: Friday 25^th June, 1.00 pm – 2.45 pm

Apricot Class: Monday 28^th June, 9.15 am – 11.00 am

Coral Class: Monday 28^th June, 1.00 pm – 2.45 pm.

Children should come to school dressed in full school uniform as we will be outside for the duration of the visit, please make sure that your child brings a waterproof coat or a summer hat if it is hot. Children should wear the shoes that they normally wear to school, provided they are sturdy and comfortable.

All classes will be eating lunch at school as usual, so you will not need to provide a pack lunch unless this is your child’s normal meal option.
