Dear Year 6 parent/carer,

In light of new information this week, we have had to make a few changes to our end of Year 6 activities.

Park trip – As many Lewisham secondary schools have their transition day scheduled for 6^th July, we are moving the date of our trip to Wells Park to Wednesday 7^th July. To make the most of our time there, we will now leave school at 12:30 and return for normal pickup at 3:00. Children will need to bring a packed lunch. If you receive free school meals, a packed lunch will be provided for your child. Children in Gold Stars will have a separate trip to Wells Park on July 1^st instead of the 7^th.

Performances – Due to the government announcement this week, we are sorry to say that parents will not be able to attend the Year 6 performances of Goodbye My Friend. Children will still put on the play, but this will instead be filmed and the recording will be sent out via text for you to watch. Please still encourage your child to practise their lines and the songs at home; we appreciate your support with this.

At the moment, all other activities (Go Ape trip, BBQ/disco and leavers’ assemblies) are able to run as planned. We will do our very best to ensure that families can attend the leavers’ assemblies as we know how important it is to celebrate all the children have achieved over their time in primary school.
