Dear Parent/Carer,
Re: Maths Home Learning is now accessed through Mathletics
Our school has now subscribed to Mathletics for maths home learning. Mathletics is an online tool which allows children to both complete carefully assigned tasks which are aligned to learning within the classroom, and also allows them to access additional games and competitions for additional practice.
Information to parents is available here: https://support.3plearning.com/mathletics/mathletics-parent-tour/ (or google search: “Mathletics parent tour”).
We would advise you to watch the 3-minute video which explains how it works.
The Mathletics app is available to download on all Android and Apple devices and for others, it can be accessed through a web browser. Log in details will be sent home with your child and also stuck into their reading journal.
Homework will be assigned by teachers on a weekly basis. Children will find these tasks under the “To Do” tab and once completed, teachers will receive feedback on how well your child achieved.
It is important for children to complete their homework every week to help with practice and consolidation so if you are experiencing problems accessing the online activities, please contact the school and we will help you.
In Year 1, the first Mathletics homework will be set on Friday 12th November 2021 and should be completed by Tuesday 16th November 2021.
From then on, homework will follow the same weekly pattern: set on a Friday to be completed by the Tuesday of the following week.
Kind regards,
Mrs Abey, Mrs B and Ms Sousa
(Year 1 Team)
