Dear Parents and Carers of Cobalt Class
RE: Cobalt Class – Parent Representative
We are delighted to introduce you to your Parent Representative: Kirsty Blackwood.

“My name is Kirsty Blackwood, I am a mum of two Luke in year four cobalt and Olivia in year one Amber. I am currently working as a part time mid-day meals supervisor at Harris primary academy crystal palace. I am looking to further my career and become a teaching assistant within a school. I am very enthusiastic and hardworking, I believe I am a very approachable person and I try to the best of my ability to help and guide as much as I can. I am very excited to be a parent rep for year four cobalt and will happily help anyone and answer any questions you have to ask. I already know most parents within cobalt class however I am looking forward to meeting parents and children I have not had the pleasure to meet yet.”
A WhatsApp group has been created by your rep, for your class. Please click https://chat.whatsapp.com/Gt5f9T8ci7r6e4QHNGwTXP (via your phone) to join the group.
The role of a Rep is to act as an extra channel of communication between school and home, as well as creating a sense of community and cohesiveness within the class. The groups are also an opportunity for parents to help each other, for example lending wellies for forest school or bringing in extra items for art projects.
Please remember that these groups are for school related matters only. We expect all members of the groups to abide by the Code of Conduct, which can be found here: https://wp.me/pbnXlb-5Ea
You are not obliged to join the group. Obviously, we would like as many parents to join as possible as it’s a great way of keeping up with school life, but we appreciate that not everyone will want, or be able to.
Yours sincerely,
Janine Green (Parent Governor) and Ian Hyde (Headteacher)
