Dear Year 2 parents and carers,
RE: Important dates to remember!
We are looking forward to a busy and fun end of term. There are a few dates to remember this half term, which we have detailed below:
Festive Year 2 Performance – Thursday 9th December
Mr Glenn will be recording the Year 1 and 2 children singing their festive songs together, which will be posted on the school website for you to see. Children are invited to wear Christmas or festive jumpers for the performance (and the rest of the day), if they wish to.
Save the Children – Christmas jumper Day Friday 10th December
The whole school are invited to wear Christmas or festive jumpers for the whole day and give a £1 donation to Save the Children, if they wish to.
Christmas Lunch – Wednesday 15th December
The whole school are invited to wear Christmas or festive jumpers for the whole day to celebrate our Christmas lunches together, if they wish to.
Year 2 class parties – Thursday 16th December
Year 2 classes will be having their class parties during the afternoon of Thursday 16th December. Children can wear their party outfits for the whole school day (please ensure their clothing is appropriate for December weather). Families are also invited to contribute small portions of party food. Please ensure that no products bought or home-made contain nuts. Also, please ensure that any home-made foods which contain dairy are clearly labelled due to pupil allergies.
We are looking forward to celebrating these festive events with your children. If your child chooses to wear a Christmas or festive jumper on the above dates, please ensure they are clearly named and the rest of your child’s clothes are school uniform.
If you have further questions about any of the above information, please contact the Year 2 team.
Thank you in advance for your support,
Year 2 Team
