Dear Parents and Carers of Brass Class,

RE: Brass Class – Parent Representative
We are delighted to introduce you to your Parent Representative: Sara Hurst.
“Hello, I think most of you know me as I work in the office at Kelvin Grove but I am here with my “parent hat” on! I actually started here on the same day that my son Dylan joined Reception in September 2015, the time has flown by and I can’t believe that the children are already in their final year at primary school. I am always happy to help with any questions or suggestions you may have, feel free to come and find me in the office or drop me a message.”
A WhatsApp group has been created by your rep, for your class. Please click (via your phone) to join the group. https://chat.whatsapp.com/IYjDQ7fNins9n1ofsSqyFa
The role of a Rep is to act as an extra channel of communication between school and home, as well as creating a sense of community and cohesiveness within the class. The groups are also an opportunity for parents to help each other, for example lending wellies for forest school or bringing in extra items for art projects.
Please remember that these groups are for school related matters only. We expect all members of the groups to abide by the Code of Conduct, which can be found here: https://wp.me/pbnXlb-5Ea
You are not obliged to join the group. Obviously, we would like as many parents to join as possible as it’s a great way of keeping up with school life, but we appreciate that not everyone will want, or be able to.
Yours sincerely,
Janine Green (Parent Governor) and Ian Hyde (Headteacher)
