RE: Year 3 – Greek afternoon
Dear Year 3 parents and carers,
To complete our Learning Journey ‘Groovy Greeks’, we will have a ‘Greek afternoon’ on Friday 1st April. Children can, if they wish, dress up as an Ancient Greek and we will be given the opportunity to try a Greek inspired feast of feta cheese, tzatziki with pitta bread, olives, olive oil and vinegar dip, carrot and pepper sticks.
Oat based yogurt will be provided as an alternative for children with dairy allergies. Please inform your class teacher of any other allergies your child may have and feel free to provide any alternatives for them.
Thank you if you have been encouraging your child to read regularly at home, recording this in their diary, checking they have completed their Mathletics and Times Table Rockstar’s home learning and having a go at their project home learning. We have enjoyed sharing the results in class.
Next half term, home learning will continue to include:
– Reading every day for at least 15 minutes and recording this in their reading record
– Mathletics and Times Table Rockstar’s
– Optional project home learning
– 5 key spellings from the Year 3/4 spelling list (located in the Curriculum letters on the school website).
