Emerald class have been exploring the text ‘Winter’s Child’ in English and writing a letter as the character Tom about the changes that have occurred in the book. We have been learning to include prepositions such as below, between, and on top of.
In maths, we have started to review our previous learning on fractions by finding a half of shapes and small amounts.
In DT, we have been learning to sew a running stitch and back stitch. Both needed a lot of patience! We will be using these stitches to make a pencil case this half term.
In Geography we have been comparing and contrasting London to Lucerne in Switzerland. Lots of us would like to visit it one day.
In Science we have been exploring how water moves through plants and how it is used. We have been visiting the garden to see what’s been growing this season too!
