Dear Parents and Carers of Year 3 pupils,
RE: Trip to the Black Cultural Archives
As part of our creative curriculum, Year 3 will be going on a school trip to the Black Cultural Archives in Brixton, London as part of our topic ‘Windrush’. The expert-led session will include the historical background of the Windrush generation and key historical events in Black British History. They will have an opportunity to handle objects and discuss the experiences of the passengers from the ship.
The cost of this trip will be £5.50 per child which should be paid via PAY360 / TRIPS by Friday 10th June at the latest! – If you do not have access to the internet or are experiencing difficulties in using PAY360, please speak to a member of our office staff who will be able to assist you.
Mint Class will be having their session on Monday 13th June 2022. They will be leaving the school at 9.15am and returning by 1.30pm.
Emerald Class will be having their session on Monday 13th June 2022. They will be leaving the school at 12.00pm and returning by approximately 3.30pm.
Jade Class will be having their session on Tuesday 14th June 2022. They will be leaving the school at 12.00pm and returning by approximately 3.30pm.
You will need to provide a healthy packed lunch for your child which should NOT contain fizzy drinks, sweets, or nuts (due to pupil allergies), the packed lunch needs to be fully disposable and in a named carrier bag.
For children in receipt of free school meals or universal free school meals a school packed lunch will be provided, please pre-order your child’s choice below via the eform below by Friday 10th June at the latest!
Your child must have a waterproof coat, sunhat and appropriate shoes on this day, as we shall be going whatever the weather. If it is sunny, please apply sunscreen to your child before they come to school.
As always, your child will also need a filled water bottle.
