Re: Sports Days Summer 2022

This year, Reception sports days will be held at school. Year 1 – Year 6 sports days will be held at Wells Park.

Sports day timetable:

Monday 11th July	Year 4 9:30am – 11:00am	Year 3 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Tuesday 12th July	Year 6 9:30am – 11:00am	Year 1 1:15pm – 2:45pm
Wednesday 13th July	Year 5 9:30am – 11:00am	Year 2 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Thursday 14th July	Reception Cerise 9:20am-10:20am Magenta 10:35am-11:35am	Reception Orchid 1:40pm -2:40pm

The children will be in colour teams for sports day:  red, yellow, green and blue.  Class teachers will let children know which colour team they are in.  On their sports day, children will come to school in their P.E kits wearing a t-shirt in their team colour. Please do not feel you have to buy new clothing as coloured stickers will be provided for children who need them.

All parents are very welcome to come along and watch sports day. It will be great to enjoy the day together again after such a long time.  Please remember that children must stay with their classes at all times.  Classes may need additional adults to help walk the children across to the park, so if you are available to help please let the class teacher know.

Hopefully the weather will be warm and dry! In the event of heavy rain, the event may need to be postponed. Children will need to come prepared with hats if it is sunny and sun cream on if it is needed.  Please could all children bring in their named water bottle as usual. 

At the end of each sports day session the children will be gathered in their classes before returning to school.  At the end of each afternoon session, all pupils will be walked back to Kelvin Grove with their classes to collect their belongings and will be dismissed from the playgrounds as usual. No pupil will be dismissed from the park. Please understand that this will help us to make sure every child is accounted for.
