Dear parents and carers of Year 6 pupils,
RE: Year 6 – End of Year Trip – Thursday 14th July 2022
We have booked a day trip to The O2 to attend Cineworld and Oxygen Trampolining Park on Thursday 14th July 2022, which has been organised as a part of our end of year celebrations.
The day will begin with the children visiting Cineworld to watch a film, followed by a short lunch break and then visiting Oxygen to end the day. The cost of this trip is £20.00, which you should pay via PAY360/TRIPS. Please speak to a member of the school office if you require any assistance with this.
Children need to arrive at school for 8:00am. We will be leaving school promptly at 8:30am, walking to Sydenham Station and taking the Overground to Canada Water. From Canada Water Station, we will be taking the tube to North Greenwich Station, where we will arrive at The O2. We are likely to return from this trip at approximately 3.45pm.
Please ensure that your child arrives at school on time as each event is booked to take place within a restricted time, so we will not be able to wait for latecomers.
You will need to provide a healthy packed lunch for your child that should NOT contain fizzy drinks, sweets, nuts or nut-based products (due to pupil allergies). All children will be responsible for their food and drink items when travelling to and from each location; therefore, we would encourage children to bring food and drinks that are easy to dispose of.
For children in receipt of free school meals, a school packed lunch can be provided, please pre-order your child’s lunch choices via the reply slip before Thursday 30th June.
Also, please ensure that you inform the school office of any food allergies or intolerances your child may have.
As we are all aware, the weather can be unpredictable so please ensure that your child is wearing is wearing a school P.E. kit (red Kelvin Grove jumper, white T-shirt or polo shirt, plain dark tracksuit bottoms or shorts and trainers).
Please note that due to the nature of the event and as we are travelling on public transport, we are unable to take children who are wearing tracksuits and other casual sportswear, which is not the school uniform P.E. kit. Your child will also need to wear sunscreen, a sun hat and possibly bring a light waterproof coat (depending on the weather forecast).
Please return the Oxygen Participant Consent Form to your child’s registration teacher by Thursday 30th June.
