Dear Parents and Carers,

RE: The Turning of The Year Concert 2022

As you know, your child is a member of the Kelvin Grove KS2 Lunchtime Choir.

We have been invited to perform as a part of the Turning of The Year concert which is a very special seasonal gathering of primary age choirs from all over Lewisham which takes place on Tuesday 6th December, 7pm to 8:30pm at the Blackheath Concert Halls.

As this is an outside school event, children will need to be brought to the venue by the accompanying parent/carer and this accompanying adult will need a ticket.

The school will purchase tickets for every child’s accompanying adult, as we would love for everyone to take part in this opportunity.

We’re asking parents for a voluntary contribution of £5 towards the cost of the tickets.

Due to the amount of schools involved in the concert, tickets are limited to 1 per family.

Children under two can enter for free but must sit on laps and buggies must be left in the foyer.

We will be learning these songs in the choir but if you could have a copy of the words at home and play the MP3s from time to time, it will give your child the opportunity to sing the songs to you and reinforce their learning.
