Dear Parents and Carers,

RE: Mudchute Park and Farm Trip – Group B

Linked to objectives taught in our topic ‘From Farm to Fork’, Year 4 will be going on a trip to Mudchute Park and Farm on two different dates and your child is going Tuesday 29^th November 2022.

We will be leaving school at approximately 9.15am after morning registration and aim to return to school by 2.45pm, traffic permitting.

Please can you also ensure your child’s medical records are up-to-date and that we have the necessary medicines in school to take on the trip.

You will need to provide a packed lunch for your child which should not contain fizzy drinks, sweets or nuts. For children in receipt of free school meals a school packed lunch will be provided.

Please pre-order your child’s meal choice via the form below by Monday 14th November 2022, at the latest – Any forms done after this date will not be accepted and you will be expected to provide your child with a homemade packed lunch.

Your child will need to wear a warm and waterproof coat appropriate for the weather conditions. We would also recommend that the children wear wellies for the trip as it is likely to be muddy around the farm.

In case of bad weather, we have booked to eat our lunch in the barn on-site but there is a charge for using this space.  We will also be purchasing feed for the children to feed the animals. This means that we are asking parents to contribute £4 which can be paid via Pay360/TRIPS.
