Dear Parents and Carers,
RE: Year 4 Home Learning – Autumn 2, 2022
Below are suggested activities and we expect you to complete at least two of them by the end of term. We would like you to hand in your first activity by the Friday 25th November and the second by Friday 9th December. Once again, we would like you to enjoy getting creative with your work and we are looking forward to seeing what you produce especially after all the incredible projects you produced last term!
| Learning Objective | Activity |
| Can I design and make a farm? | Design & Technology: Use what we have learnt in our Geography lessons about different types of farming and design and build your own farm. What will you call your farm? Where abouts in the UK is it? What type of farming (arable, pastoral, etc) have you chosen and why? |
| Can I create a map with a key to show where different foods are produced across the world? | Rivers Data: Use the skills learnt in Computing to log data about the world’s largest rivers. Use Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel to create a spreadsheet and create a table or graph to represent the information. |
| Can I write a speech? | English/geography: Write a speech to explain what fair trade and why it is so important to promote fair trade across the world? |
| Can I sketch a landscape? | Take One Artist Using your knowledge of mark making, sketch and colour in a landscape of your choice, using mark making techniques we looked at when we were learning about David Hockney. |
| Can I write a winter poem? | Poetry Produce a poem (including features taught in English such as similes, metaphors and personification) which describes winter from your point of view. |
