Dear Year 2 parents and carers,

On Tuesday 6^th December, Year 2 will be having a Polar Express experience in the morning. Please can children come to school dressed in (clean and weather appropriate) pyjamas. If you would like your child to change back into their warmer school uniform afterwards, please send children’s clothes in and they can get changed for the afternoon.

Children will be greeted by snowy footprints; have a decorated Christmas tree; read the beginning of The Polar Express story; and have a warm drink. Children will then write a recount of their experience on Wednesday. Please do not share these details with your children; we would like as much as possible to be a surprise for them.

Please indicate below whether you give your child permission to have a warm drink:

• Hot chocolate: containing water & Cadbury’s hot chocolate powder (sugar, cocoa powder, acidity regulator, flavouring and states may contain milk).
• Warm black current squash.
• No warm drink.
