Dear Year 2 parents and carers,
RE: Year 2 Christmas Events
We are looking forward to a busy and fun end of term. There are a few dates to remember this half term, which we have detailed below:
Save the Children – Christmas jumper Day Thursday 8th December
The whole school are invited to wear Christmas or festive jumpers for the whole day. Families are invited to donate £1 to Save the Children, if you wish.
Year 2 class parties – Tuesday 13th December
Year 2 classes will be having their class parties during the afternoon of Tuesday 13th December. Children can wear their party outfits for the whole school day (please ensure their clothing is appropriate for December weather). Families are also invited to contribute small portions of one of the following types of party food:
- A savory snack
- A sweet snack
- Fruit or vegetables
We will provide drinks for the children.
Please ensure that no products bought or home-made contain nuts in the main ingredients. Also, please ensure that any home-made foods which contain dairy, gluten, eggs or kiwi fruit are clearly labelled due to pupil allergies.
Christmas Lunch – Wednesday 14th December
Children will have their Christmas dinners during lunchtime, with the Year 2 staff.
Last day of term:
Just a reminder that school will close at 1:30pm on Friday 16th December and there will be no Club Extra.
We are looking forward to celebrating these festive events with your children. If your child chooses to wear a Christmas or festive jumper on the above date, please ensure they are clearly named and the rest of your child’s clothes are school uniform.
