Dear Orchid Class Parents and Carers,
RE: Orchid Class Trip to Horniman Museum – Animals: Pond, River, Sea workshop, including a visit to the aquarium
To celebrate the end of our ‘We are environmentalists’ topic, Reception will visit Horniman Museum to take part in an educational workshop.
Orchid Class will visit on Wednesday 24th May 2023, leaving at approximately 10:15am and aiming to return by 3:00pm.
As we will be walking to and from the museum, as well as spending time in the gardens, please ensure that your child has a suitable/waterproof coat and appropriate/comfortable shoes.
We will have some time before the museum opens to explore the garden and parts of the museum. Each class will attend a workshop and visit the aquarium.
Children will eat their lunch at the Horniman.
A school packed lunch may be provided for each child upon request via the form below, please pre-order child’s meal choice by Friday 5th May 2023 or you may choose to provide your child with a healthy homemade packed lunch which should not contain fizzy drinks, sweets/chocolate or any nuts due to pupil allergies, the packed lunch will need to be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
The trip costs £3.00 per child and should be made via PAY360/TRIPS.
We need and would love some parent volunteers to come with us and enjoy the day. Please speak to your child’s class teacher if you are able to join us.
