Dear parent/carer of Year 6 pupil,
RE: Year 6 Trip to Dulwich Picturehouse
We have booked a local trip to East Dulwich Picturehouse on Tuesday 18th July 2023, which has been organised as part of our end of year celebrations. The day will begin at the normal time of 8.45am. Shortly after morning registration, we will catch the bus to the Picturehouse in time to be settled in our seats for a 10am screening of the movie ‘Spiderman – Across the Spider Verse’ (please note this film animated film is PG rated). The Picturehouse is booked for Kelvin Grove pupils only and each child will be provided with a popcorn snack and a drink as part of the booking.
The cost of this trip will be £7.50. You can pay this on Pay360. Please speak to a member of the school office if you require any assistance with this.
On the day, we will be leaving school at approximately 9.15am, walking to the bus stop and catching the 176 bus to Lordship Lane. Please ensure that your child arrives at school on time so we can make sure that everyone is ready to leave on time.
Children will need to bring a packed lunch to eat as we will not be able to eat our normal school lunches due to length of the movie and the travel back to school. We are likely to return to school after our normal lunch slot so the children will have a later lunch once we are back at school. Packed lunches and snacks must not contain: nuts, sweets, chocolate bars or sharing bags of crisps, as we are a Healthy School and have a duty to limit risks for children with food allergies. School lunches will be provided, as normal, for those children who are entitled to receive free school meals.
As we are all aware, the weather can be unpredictable so please ensure that your child is wearing is wearing a school uniform including a school jumper. If rain is forecast, your child will need to bring a coat suitable for wet weather.
