Dear Groove School Folks!

RE: Groove School Special Assembly – Tuesday 18^th July

First of all, thank you ALL for your part in making our summer concert on of the best ever.   Musically and technically the children continue to make great progress, mostly because you help them to practise, practise, practise.

I will not be collecting the school instruments this summer (apart from Y6 pupils), and I do not expect the children to practise in the way that they do during term time. However, the holidays are a great opportunity for them to show off their musical skills to friends and family, and who knows, they might even get more creative in their spare time.

Please send your child into school with their musical instrument on Tuesday 18^th July, as Groove School members have been invited to give mini-performance to the Y2 children at a special music assembly at 1:30 pm (music room). Unfortunately, we are unable to invite parents/carers to this performance.

The idea is to inspire the next generation of Kelvin Grove children to join Groove School and follow in your child’ musical footsteps.

We will be performing Oye Como Va and Freedom Train with Guitars, Fifes and Flutes so everyone will need their instruments and their sheet music.
