Dear current Y2 & Y3 Parents/carers

RE. Groove School Expression of Interest for September Places

Groove School returns in September on Thursdays (3.00 pm – 5.00 pm) after school for Years 3, 4, 5 & 6.

We will have 24 new places available for Year 3 & Year 4 children to begin learning to play Guitar OR Flute.

The children have 3 activities:

A) 30 mins Playing in the Samba Band with Pablo

B) 30 mins Learning to write and arrange songs with Molly using iPads and their specialist instrument

C) 30 mins Small group Instrument Tuition: Either GUITAR or FLUTE.

This is a music school for children which is run by our Music Leader, Mr Glenn and children are expected to practise at least four times a week and contracts will run for a full term, every term.   Groove School is designed to launch your child’s journey as a successful musician focusing on practise, listening and personal expression. The activities and the learning are fun and engaging but there is a level of commitment required both from yourself and your child.

Groove School is great value for money costing £80 for 10 week’s professional music tuition, meaning children receive 90 minutes of tuition for just £8 a week. The equivalent cost in the private music-teaching-market would be closer to £25 per week. Parents are expected to pay in advance for a term (10 weekly sessions).
