Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome to the new term at Kelvin Grove! We are really looking forward to welcoming your children into their new classes tomorrow.

Entrance to Year 2 is through the gate on Dallas Road.  Gates open shortly after 8:30am and children come in and line up. Teachers take children inside at 8:40am for a prompt start.

In order for the children to have a calm and quiet start to the day, and because the playground is so small, we ask kindly that you say goodbye to your child at the gate or just inside it – and you can watch your child walk to their line and meet their teacher. If your child is a little anxious on the first day then do come and speak to me on the gate.

In the morning teachers will be busy greeting the children. If you wish to speak to your class teacher, they will be on the playground at the end of the day. However, just be mindful that over the first few days of term, teachers might take longer dismissing the children as they need to get to know everyone’s adult.

I will be on the playground every morning and afternoon if you need any help or to pass on any messages.
