Dear Parent/Carer of Year 5 pupil,

RE: Nigerian Storytelling and Dance Day – Friday 15^th September 2023

We hope you and your family have had a restful summer and that everyone is ready for a new school year.  We are starting the year with a topic about Africa and have a fantastic event planned for the children. 

As part of the launch for this term’s topic ‘Into Africa’, the children have been offered the exciting opportunity to work with IROKO, an African storytelling production and workshop company based in London (www.irokotheatre.org.uk ) . They will experience an interactive performance and two workshops focusing on dance and storytelling which will take place over the course of the school day, broadening their understanding of African traditions and culture.

Photographs of the day will be posted on the school website after the event.

The price for this workshop is £5 per child, which should be paid on SCOPAY our new online payment system from Wednesday.
