It’s been a lovely and very busy end to the autumn term in both Blue and Gold class. We have finished our ‘Take One Artist’ paintings on canvas and are extremely proud of the results! They look great hanging in our classrooms and we can’t wait to display them in the main hall next.
It was great fun singing in our Seasonal Performance last week, and we loved that our audience joined in with the encore song Feliz Navidad.
We have also been busy baking this week. We created a sponge cake based on war time ingredients and a 1940’s recipe, did you know they made cakes without eggs and sugar?! We thoroughly enjoyed mixing the cake and working together, Blue and Gold class agreed that we much prefer the cakes we have today though! To celebrate the learning we have done in our topic lessons around World War II, we also created Blitz artwork this week. We used chalk pastels to create a fiery night sky, lighting up the London skyline and used white chalk to create the spotlights searching for bomber planes.
