It is the final week of school this week and Brass Class have been busy having fun (and working too, of course!).
As part of the landing of our topic ‘Pump it Up’ we got to dissect a lamb’s heart. It was amazing to see what a heart looked like in real life; we even got to touch it! In groups, we looked at all of its different components and were able to point out the Aorta (the largest artery in the body) from our prior knowledge. We also did a danceathon in class – it certainly got our hearts pumping. Our Christmas performance was tons of fun, some of us played the xylophone to accompany the songs and it was great seeing all our parents singing along in the audience.
In art we have finished our abstract scrape paintings based on the works of Helen Frankenthaler and were thrilled with how they turned out. It has been terribly messy work but tons of fun! We have really enjoyed our topic this term – we have all worked incredibly hard and learnt lots of new things. Miss Hudson is very proud of us.
We hope that everybody has a restful break and festive fun with their families and friends.
See you all in the New Year!
