Dear Year 1 Parents and carers

RE: Year 1 Phonics & Reading Meeting for Parents & Carers

There will be a meeting for parent/carers of the children in Year 1. This meeting aims to give parents more understanding of the Little Wandle phonics programme and how parents can support their children at home. The workshop will also provide parents/carers with information about the Phonics Screening Check that will take place in the summer term.

During the meeting, Year 1 children will be supervised in a different classroom by Year 1 staff.

Details of the workshop are as follows:

Meeting for Amber Class Parents & Carers

• Monday 29^th January 2024 – in Coral Class from 3:30 pm – 4:00 pm. 

Meeting for Coral Class Parent & Carers

• Thursday 1^st February 2024 – in Coral Class from 3:30 pm – 4:00 pm.

Parents will be asked to kindly wait in the main playground on the day of the meeting until all children have been dismissed.
