Wednesday 31st January 2024
Dear Parent/Carer of a Green Class pupil,
RE: Trip to the Natural History Museum
As part of our creative curriculum, Green Class will be going on a school trip to the Natural History Museum, London as part of our topic ‘Quakes and Shakes’. The children will have an opportunity to explore the exciting world of earthquakes and volcanoes in an action-packed Science show and will also get a chance to explore the Earth hall. Children will have an opportunity to make observations, answer questions and make sketches.
We leave at 10:30 am on Wednesday 21st February 2024 and aim to return by 3.40 pm. The return to school is slightly later than the normal school day due to the time slot allocated for our booked session at the museum. We are using public transport to get to South Kensington Station. Please complete the reply slip below to give permission for your child to attend the school trip.
The cost of the trip is £3.00 which should be paid on www.SCOPAY.com TRIPS & EVENTS.
If you would like to pre-order a free school packed lunch for this trip, you must complete the online form below by Monday 5th February 2024. This is to ensure that the kitchen staff have sufficient time to order in the correct food.
Alternatively, you can provide your child with a home-made healthy packed lunch which should not contain fizzy drinks, sweets, or nuts (due to pupil allergies). Lunch needs to be fully disposable and in a named carrier bag.
Your child must have a suitable coat and appropriate shoes on this day, as we shall be going whatever the weather!
Please do let Miss Babs, Miss Davies or Miss Grant know if you would be available to support a group on this trip. We would love to have some parent helpers!
Thank you for your continued support,
Green Class Team
