Dear Y1 Parents and carers

RE: Year 1 Trip to Horniman Museum Gardens – 17^th April 2024

Both Y1 classes will be visiting the Horniman Museum Gardens on Wednesday 17^th April.

We will leave school at 9.30 am promptly to walk to the museum gardens. We will have some time to explore the garden and observe signs of spring and plants as part of our learning regarding seasonal changes.

As we will be walking to the museum and only spending time in the gardens, please make sure that your child brings a waterproof coat, a hat and gloves if it is cold. Children should wear the shoes that they normally wear to school, provided they are sturdy and comfortable.

Children will walk back to school and eat their lunch (school meal or packed lunch) as normal in school.

There is no requirement for schools to ask parental permission for trips that take place within the school day. However, if you have any concerns about your child attending this trip please speak to your child’s class teacher.

There is also no cost for this trip.
