Friday 17th May 2024
Dear Parents/Carers,
Well done to all the children for this week – we are exceptionally proud of them all and how hard they have worked.

Next week, the children who are not going to France will be put into two classes which will be based in Bronze classroom and Copper classroom. Over the week we have a range of different activities for them to take part in.
On Monday, we will be running an art project. This will look at the history and context of creating mandalas – and then using new mediums to create their own. These sessions will be led by Miss Magee, Mrs Jupp and Miss Kemp. In the afternoon there will be a computing session looking at designing online quizzes.
On Tuesday it is our trip to Frylands Wood. Please remember that children need to be at school for 8:25am as the coach leaves at 8:45am. Children need to wear comfortable clothes that will keep them warm and dry (in this ever-changing weather!) and clothes that children don’t mind getting dirty. Long hair needs to be tied back and please no earrings that are not studs. If your child is prone to hay fever, please could you give them any medication that they normally take before school that morning. The coach should return by 3:30pm.
On Wednesday the PPA team will lead the Year 6 sessions. Children need to come to school in their P.E kits please. On Thursday, Mrs Blanks and Miss Pais are leading a French cookery day. Children will be baking food such as Breton Salted Butter Sablés, Cherry Clafoutis and tarte aux pommes. They will be eating their food in the afternoon and enjoying a movie.
Friday will be a day of sports and games – again please could children come in wearing their P.E kits on this day.
If you have any questions please contact Miss Magee via an office email.
Many thanks and enjoy your weekend,
Miss Magee
