Year 6 have had the most amazing day travelling to Normandy in France. We came to school for a super early start, leaving on the coach at 5am! It has been a long journey, travelling by coach to Dover, where we would board the ferry. The ferry was a swaying ride! We relaxed in the cabin onboard and some of us even went out on to the deck. It was much faster than we expected.

Once we had crossed the Channel, we arrived in Calais and started our journey to the château. We had two stops along the way, our second visiting a lovely local park in Honfleur.
We have been warmly welcomed by the staff at le Château du Molay and had an excellent first evening: enjoying dinner and then karaoke! It was great fun and we were almost too excited to sleep! After our long journey and electrifying evening, we were definitely exhausted and have slept the whole night through.
We are now eagerly off on our second day of adventures!
