Dear Parent/ Carer,
Re: First Aid Incident and Medication Administration Notifications Update
As you know, we try very hard to keep parents regularly informed about first-aid incidents and medication administration at school. We currently use a mix of online Cognito forms and a paper-based system to do this.
To help make improvements in these areas, we are moving to an online system called Medical Tracker. Medical Tracker allows us to accurately log details regarding your child’s medical conditions, medication, care plans, medication expiry and day-to-day incidents and first-aid administered.
The change is driven by a desire to ensure that sensitive personal information is stored in the most secure way possible, and also reduce the environmental impact of photocopying and distributing paper records.
To use Medical Tracker effectively, we need to collect the best email address to use to notify you of incidents. Please update your contact information through Sims Parent, if needed, as soon as possible. If you need any assistance with this, please do not hesitate to speak with someone in the school office who will be able to assist you.
Please be assured that Medical Tracker is registered with the Data Protection Registrar and guarantees that all information you provide will be kept private and will not be passed on to any other organisation. All supporting documentation about how they securely process and store data in line with the law, is available on their website.
Important – When we start using Medical Tracker, email messages will be sent from donotreply@medicaltracker.co.uk. Please add this address to your email address books (or approved sender list) to prevent messages from being blocked by your SPAM/JUNK filters. Medical Tracker notifications will be sent via email to all parents/carers, with an additional text from the School Office or phone call from a First Aider, if required.
