Dear Parents/Carers,
RE: The Mayor of London’s Christmas Card Competition.
The Mayor of London is inviting all London school children aged 4 to 14 to take part in the annual competition to design the Mayor of London’s official Christmas card.
This year, pupils have been asked to design a card on the theme, ‘A new dawn, a fresh hope’. Card designs should show scenes that highlight the special kind of hope that Christmas represents, including the stories and symbols that bring love, peace and light to the depths of winter.
The winning entry will have their artwork featured on the Mayor’s 2024 Christmas card which will be sent to dignitaries across the world, including His Majesty King Charles III.
The competition is supported by Cass Art, the UK’s leading independent art supplies retailer. The winner will be invited to the Mayor’s Christmas carol service event, receive a certificate, copies of the card to send to their friends and family, have their Christmas card personally signed by the Mayor, and a £100 Cass Art gift voucher. Also, the two highest praised entries will each receive a certificate and a £30 Cass Art gift voucher.
To take part in this year’s competition, a photo or scanned image of your design should be submitted to the online entry form here. Alternatively, if you would like help with entering the competition, designs should be handed in to Miss Gibbs or the School Office by Tuesday 5th November 2024.
Designs will be scanned and submitted on this date ahead of the competition’s closing date: Wednesday 6th November.
