Dear Year 1 Parents/Carers,

RE: Year 1 Festive Events

We are looking forward to a busy and fun end of term. There are a few dates to remember this half term, which we have detailed below:

Save the Children – Christmas Jumper Day Thursday 12^th December

The whole school are invited to wear Christmas or festive jumpers for the whole day. Year 1 will still have their PE lessons, please ensure children are wearing their trainers as normal. Families are invited to make a donation to Save the Children, if you wish.

KG Christmas Dinner and Jumper Day – Wednesday 18^th December

The whole school are invited to wear Christmas or festive jumpers for the whole day. Children will have their Christmas dinners during lunchtime, with the Year 1 staff.

Winter Craft Session with Parents/Carers – Thursday 19^th December

We would like to invite parents/carers in on Thursday 19^th December 8:40-9:30am for a winter craft session in class with your child. You will be able to create a winter themed craft with your child during the session for them to take home. Due to PE lessons and class parties we are only able to run a morning session this time.

Year 1 class parties – Thursday 19^th December

Year 1 classes will be having their class parties during the afternoon of Thursday 19^th December. Children can wear their festive top with their PE kits for the whole school day (please ensure their clothing is appropriate for December weather, Year 1 will still be having PE lessons, children should wear their trainers as normal). Families are also invited to contribute party food that can be shared with the class. Please ensure that no products bought contain nuts in the main ingredients.

Last day of term:

Just a reminder that school will close at 1:30pm on Friday 20^th December and there will be no Club Extra.
