Dear Parent/Carer of Cobalt pupil,

RE: Creekside Discovery Centre

As part of our geography curriculum, Cobalt Class will be going to Creekside Discovery Centre on on Monday 17^th March 2025. Whilst there, the children will enjoy a staff led river walk. Children will learn about the environment and wildlife around us.

The children will be taking the overground train from Sydenham to Surrey Quays, the 199 Bus to Creekside and short walk to Creekside. Please ensure your child is in school by 8:45am as we will be leaving promptly. We will return before the end of the school day.

The cost for this trip is £10 per child. Please pay on SCOPAY TRIPS & EVENTS.

There is no requirement for schools to ask parental permission for trips that take place within the school day. However, if you have any concerns about your child attending this trip please speak to your child’s class teacher.

If you would like to pre-order a free school packed lunch for this trip, you must complete the online form below by Monday 3^rd March 2025. This is to ensure that the kitchen staff have sufficient time to order in the correct food.

Alternatively, you can provide your child with a home-made healthy packed lunch which should NOT contain fizzy drinks, sweets, or nuts (due to pupil allergies). Lunch needs to be fully disposable and in a named carrier bag.

Your child must have a suitable coat and appropriate shoes on this day, as we shall be going whatever the weather! 

Please do let your class teacher know if you would be available to support a group on this trip.

For this trip to go ahead, we will need a few parent helpers to join us. Please let me know if you are available to support a group of children on this trip.
