Dear Parents and Carers,
Re: Sports Days 2025
We are pleased to share with you the dates for this year’s Sports Days, which will be taking place on-site at school. While we have previously held these events in the local park, in recent years we have unfortunately been let down by unpredictable weather. Wet conditions have significantly affected the ground and led to disruption or cancellations, which has been disappointing for children, staff and families alike.
Holding Sports Day at school will allow us to manage the day more effectively and ensure that the event can go ahead whatever the weather. While Sports Day will now take place at school, we’d like to reassure you that children will still have opportunities to enjoy open green spaces as part of their PE lessons before the end of term, weather permitting. These sessions are a valuable part of our curriculum and a chance for children to engage in outdoor physical activity beyond the school site.
Parents and carers are warmly invited to attend their child’s Sports Day, please see the timetable below for all class dates and times.
A reminder that school staff will be on-site to take photographs throughout the day so that parents can enjoy spectating without the pressure to capture moments themselves. If parents or carers do choose to take photos or videos, we kindly ask that these are of your own child only and not shared online or via social media, in line with our safeguarding policy.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming you to this year’s Sports Days and sharing in the fun and celebration of all the children’s efforts.
