Dear Parents/Carers,

RE: Start of Autumn Term and Entrance Changes

We hope you and your family have enjoyed a restful summer break. We are very much looking forward to welcoming the children back to school for the start of the new school year.

A reminder the children return on Wednesday 3^rd September, with the school gates opening as normal at 8:35am.

Over the summer, the school has carried out some improvement works in the Paxton building. While these works will not affect the children’s return to school or their learning, they do have some impact on drop-off and collection for parents and pupils who arrive to school along Kirkdale. As some work will continue until October, it is important that all parents read this information carefully to ensure a smooth and safe start to the day for everyone.

The school gates along Fransfield Grove will not be accessible. This means that children arriving by taxi will use the large gates on Kirkdale which enter directly into the Paxton Main Playground. Rainbow will be collected from the Main Playground.

Pedestrians using this footpath should take extra care while taxis pull in to drop children off. We will have increased staff to supervise this area and ensure everyone’s safety.

Please also note that there is a new Zebra Crossing on Kirkdale. If children are walking to school independently, remind them to take care when using this crossing. All other entrances will be used as normal, see below.

Please make sure you familiarise yourself with these arrangements before Wednesday.
