We’ve been having the most brilliant time in Year 5 continuing our music lessons with Djembe drums! Every week we are improving and honing our skills, learning so much about rhythm and culture along the way. Our lessons have been full of energy, and we’ve been practicing different techniques to create powerful, clear sounds on the drums. We are learning to listen closely to each other and work as a team to create fantastic rhythms that sound just like a traditional African ensemble. It’s challenging but so rewarding when we all get the beat right together!
