Dear Year 3 Parents and Carers,
RE: Key Dates for Winter Events
As we approach the festive season, we are pleased to share our upcoming Winter Events for parents and children. We hope you will be able to join us in celebrating the children’s learning and the wonderful community spirit at Kelvin Grove.
Here are the winter events taking place for Year 3 this term:
Year 3 Events
- Stay and Share Afternoon: Tuesday 25th November, 2:30pm – 3:00pm. Parents and carers are invited to join us in class to share in their children’s learning from the term. We will have an exciting afternoon sharing our knowledge of how light travels, how shadows are formed and making shadow puppets.
- Year 3 and Year 4 Winter Show: Tuesday 9th December, 2:30pm – 3:00pm in the Main Hall. Parents and carers are invited to attend.
- Class Party: Emerald and Jade Class will have parties on Monday 15th December, children can wear their own clothes or party/festive clothes. Snacks/party food are not needed for this.
Green Class will have their party on Thursday 18th December, children can wear party clothes or festive jumpers. Snacks and party food are welcome, but they must be nut-free (e.g., no Nutella or Kinder Bueno hazelnut).
Whole-School Dates
- School Winter Fair: Friday 5th December, 3:15pm – 5:00pm
- Official Christmas Jumper Day: Thursday 11th December, children are invited to wear Christmas or festive jumpers in support of Save the Children’s Official Christmas Jumper Day.
- KG Christmas Dinner & Jumper Day: Wednesday 17th December, if your child is normally packed lunch and you would like to book a Christmas dinner, please let the office know as soon as possible. Children are invited to wear Christmas or festive jumpers in school on this day.
Children who access their learning in Green Class or Blue Class may take part in the main school performance, however the Hub Class Teacher will speak with you if they feel this is not appropriate for them.
We look forward to celebrating this festive season with you and thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Year 3 Team
