Dear Parents and Carers of children in Year 2,

RE: Temporary changes to the Year 2 team in January 2026

As part of the programme of Continuing Professional Development that all teachers undertake throughout their career there will be some temporary changes to the Year 2 team from January 2026.

Miss Dolerius will be undertaking a six-week professional development placement in another primary school setting and we will welcome Ms Da Silva to complete the same placement here at Kelvin Grove. This will take place in Spring term 1: January 6^th 2026 – February 13^th 2026. Ms Da Silva has already met with the Year 2 team who have supported her with a handover.

Although there will be no changes to the current registration classes, throughout the day children will take part in different focus groups. These groups have been designed to provide targeted teaching and to optimise learning opportunities for all pupils in Year 2.
