Dear Reception Parents and Carers,

RE: Updates to Reception Spring Term

What a wonderful first term it has been for your children. It was lovely to see so many of you and the Christmas Stay and Share.

Each year, we organise Reception in slightly different ways and continually review how best to use all of our spaces to meet the needs of our children.

Our current Reception numbers enable us to accommodate both Magenta and Cerise classes on our main site from January. This will allow for closer collaboration and targeted learning interventions, particularly in reading and phonics, as well as a valuable opportunity to further develop our outdoor provision.

Orchid Class will move to the current Magenta classroom on our offsite provision. This will provide a quieter, more bespoke environment, with access to their own specialist provision, additional tailored spaces, breakout areas, and opportunities for carefully managed inclusion into the main site classrooms when appropriate.

This is a move which we feel will benefit all children in Reception. All children will remain with their current staff, ensuring continuity and familiar relationships throughout this transition.
