Dear Year 4 Parents and Carers,

RE: Year 4 Times Tables Workshop: Thursday 5^th February at 3:30pm

Learning the multiplication facts is an important part of the maths curriculum in year 4. Knowing these fluently is essential to unlocking the maths curriculum for the rest of Key Stage 2 and beyond.

Year 4 children are also required to sit a national test which specifically assesses how well children know and can recall these multiplication tables.
This year the test will be administered between Monday 1^st June and Friday 12^th June 2026.

We are holding a short workshop specifically for parents on Thursday 5^th February to inform you of the test, our school’s approach to teaching times tables, and the best ways that you can support your child at home. We would love for as many parents to attend as possible.

On the day, your child’s class teacher will meet you in the playground after dismissal.  The meeting starts at 3.30pm and children are welcome to attend with you.
