We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day across the school, with a range of activities that brought our love of reading to life. The day began with paired reading, where older pupils visited younger classes to share stories together. This is always a highlight of the day, and it was lovely to see the children engaging so thoughtfully and enthusiastically with one another.
Throughout the school, we admired an array of imaginative costumes and creative props inspired by favourite book characters. The effort and enthusiasm from both pupils and staff made the day feel truly special.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ms Abey and Miss Hudson for all their hard work in organising the book sale, leading assemblies, and creating the ‘Book a Day’ video series. These videos have given children the opportunity to enjoy stories at home and have been a wonderful addition to our celebrations.
It was a joyful day that highlighted the importance of reading and storytelling, and it was brilliant to see such excitement shared by everyone in our school community.
