Dear Parents and Carers,
RE: Expression of Interest for New Year 6 2027 Residential
We are pleased to share that we are in the early stages of planning a residential trip for our current Year 5 pupils, to take place when they are in Year 6 in June 2027. Please help us so that we can book enough places and children do not miss out on the opportunity.
This visit will replace the previous residential trip to France and has been chosen to provide a more inclusive opportunity, allowing a greater number of children across the year group to take part and enjoy the experience. We are also conscious of the rising cost of the France trip due to 2 full days of travel.
The proposed visit will be a 3-day, 2-night stay at an outdoor residential centre run by the experienced company PGL, which offers a range of adventurous and team-building activities designed to develop confidence, independence, and resilience. The experience will also support pupils in building positive relationships and creating lasting memories as they approach the end of their primary school journey.

At this stage, we are still finalising arrangements, including the specific activities and detailed itinerary. However, the visit will include a variety of outdoor learning opportunities in a safe and supportive environment, led by experienced staff.
The approximate cost of the trip is expected to be around £400 per pupil.
To help us move forward with planning and securing bookings, we kindly ask you to complete an expression of interest linked below. This will give us an indication of numbers and is not a confirmed commitment.
Further details, including a full itinerary, payment schedule and consent forms, will be shared later in the year.
Thank you for your continued support.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Clark and the Year 6 Team
