Dear Parents and Carers,

RE: Year 1 ‘Trip to St Bartholomew’s Church, Sydenham

As part of our ‘What is a Church and Christianity’ topic, Year 1 will visit a local church in Sydenham – St Barts on Westwood Hill to explore the church.

• Coral Class will visit on Monday 27^th April 1:00pm – 3:00pm
• Amber Class will visit on Wednesday 29^th  April  1.30pm – 3:00pm

Both classes will need to walk a short distance from the school to the church on Westwood Hill. We will have some time to explore the Church as well as meet the local Vicar.

As we will be walking and spending time outside the church grounds, please make sure that your child brings a waterproof coat and comfortable shoes.

Children will eat their lunch at school as normal.

There is no requirement for schools to ask parental permission for trips that take place within the school day. However, if you have any concerns about your child attending this trip please speak to your child’s class teacher.
