Dear Parent/Carer of Reception pupil,

RE: Junk Orchestra Workshop  –  Thursday 30^th April 2026

As part of our new topic ‘We Love Water’ we will be exploring the impact of plastic use on our planet’s oceans and sea life. 

As part of this topic, an exciting event has been arranged for the children. All children in Reception will have the opportunity to work with the Junk Orchestra. We will be learning about the importance of recycling and looking after our local and global environment. The children will be able to play the instruments made using recycled materials.

The workshop will take place in the school hall so parent/carer helpers are not required for this event.

We understand this is short notice however, to help cover the workshop costs, we are asking for a £6 contribution per child if you are able to. Payments can be made via SCOPAY (in TRIPS & EVENTS) by Thursday 30^th April.

We really appreciate your support and are sure the children will have a fantastic time.
