Dear Parents and Carers,
RE: Year 2 Trip to Devonshire Road Nature Reserve
We are pleased to share that we have been fortunate in securing a date at short notice for a Devonshire Road Nature Reserve trip this half term.
As part of the learning for our recent topic, ‘Soil, Seeds and Sunshine’, the children will visit the Nature Reserve in Forest Hill to take part in an exciting educational workshop and field trip.
- Ochre Class – Wednesday 20th May (Morning Session)
- Cinnamon Class – Wednesday 20th May (Afternoon Session)
- Saffron Class – Thursday 21st May (Morning Session)
Ochre and Saffron Classes will leave school promptly at 9:00am and travel by bus. Cinnamon Class will leave later in the morning for their afternoon session.
We are planning to walk back to school following our visit. During the day, the children will participate in a workshop as well as have time to explore the Nature Reserve.
As there will be a significant amount of walking, both at the reserve and during our return journey, please ensure your child brings a waterproof coat and wears comfortable, suitable footwear.
Children will eat lunch at the Nature Reserve. Please provide a clearly labelled packed lunch, or alternatively, request a school-packed lunch using the online form.
Due to securing this opportunity at short notice, we kindly ask that any requests for a school-packed lunch are submitted via the form by 3:00pm on Wednesday 6th May, to allow the kitchen sufficient time to prepare.
A voluntary contribution of £5 per child is requested to support the cost of this trip. If you are able to contribute, please do so via SCOPAY.
Thank you for your support,
Ms Abey and Ms Elboury and Mrs Delorius
