Dear Parents and Carers,
RE: Cobalt Class trip to Devonshire Road Nature Reserve
As part of our next science topic, Classification and Changing Habitats, Cobalt Class will be going to Devonshire Road Nature Reserve next term, on Thursday 11th June 2026. Whilst there, children will explore the nature reserve and participate in a number of different activities.
We will be walking to and from the nature reserve, which takes approximately thirty minutes each way. Children will need to wear school uniform but may wear trainers. They will also need to bring a water bottle and be prepared for the weather (e.g. hat, suncream, raincoat).
Please ensure your child arrives to school on time as we will be leaving school promptly at 9:00am. We will eat our lunch at the Nature Reserve and will return before the end of the school day.
The cost for this trip is £5 per child. Please pay on SCOPAY TRIPS & EVENTS.
If you would like to pre-order a free school packed lunch for this trip, you must complete the online form here: https://forms.gle/bXJAwPUSRPYM84d16 by Thursday 21st May. This is to ensure that the kitchen staff have sufficient time to order in the correct food. Alternatively, you can provide your child with a home-made healthy packed lunch which should NOT contain fizzy drinks, sweets, or nuts (due to pupil allergies).
On this occasion we will not need parent helpers on this trip.
Thank you for your continued support.
Mrs Blackley
