Dear Parents and Carers,

RE: Year 1 Trip to Devonshire Road Nature Reserve

As part of our Science topic, we will visit Devonshire Road Nature Reserve in Forest Hill to take part in an educational workshop, enjoy some hands on learning and explore the nature reserve. Both Year 1 classes will have a morning session, on separate days.

• Amber Class will go on: Wednesday 1^st July, 9.30 am – 1.30pm
• Coral Class will go on: Thursday 2^nd July, 9.30 – 1.30pm

Year 1 will leave school promptly at 9:00am and travel by bus to Forest Hill, and then have a short walk to the Nature Reserve.

As there will be a significant amount of walking, both at the reserve and travelling to and from the Nature Reserve, please ensure your child brings a waterproof coat (dependent on the weather) and wears comfortable, suitable footwear.

Children will eat lunch at the Nature Reserve. Please provide a clearly labelled packed lunch, or alternatively, request a school-packed lunch using the online form below. We kindly ask that any requests for a school-packed lunch are submitted via the form by 3:00pm on Thursday 11^th June, to allow the kitchen sufficient time to prepare and order ingredients.

A voluntary contribution of £5 per child is requested to support the cost of this trip. If you are able to contribute, please do so via SCOPAY.
